The Northbridge Youth Group is an awesome place for our community’s young people (6th grade-12th grade) to fellowship and be challenged in God’s word. The safe environment of our gatherings is structured to promote togetherness and relationship building. Whether our young people are interested in dodgeball, kickball, making bracelets, or just talking by the swing set they all have a chance to meet new people and build fruitful friendships.
Lesson time is centered around our chronological journey through scripture using a devotional series called ‘The Gospel Project’. We seek to equip students with the skills to not only understand what they are learning at Youth Group, but to also study the word on their own. Lessons are often times concluded with a small group period in which students have the opportunity ask questions and share what God has been doing in their lives.
The Youth Group is not limited to once a week meetings at the church. Often times we gather for fun events and trips. Our annual trip to Lake Ann Camp in Traverse City is one that every student looks forward to throughout the year. During the wintery months we spend a weekend at the Lake Sherman YMCA having fun on the sledding hills and listening to a guest speaker. Throughout the year we have game nights, slip n slide kickball, pool parties, winter games, and many other fun filled chances for fellowship with each other and God.
The Youth Group is run by a group of dedicated volunteers and our Youth Director Jim Ling. Our team here at Northbridge is committed to giving your child a safe place to have fun, but most importantly to learn about the good news given to us by Jesus.
