Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- Matthew 20:28

Gospel-Centered Service

Volunteers at Northbridge serve to bring glory to God.

Our Mission is to make disciples of Jesus that result in new churches of disciple-makers started locally in Southwest Michigan and strategically around the world. This is both our mission and process for transforming people and communities. Out of gospel-centered service God is glorified and humanity flourishes.

We hope you will join us in making a world of difference today!

HOSPITALITY

Volunteers on our Hospitality team are some of the first people our attendees come in contact with at weekend services. They serve our church every week or every other week. They greet people before services, help people find seats, park cars, help with safety in the parking lot and are all around the front line for guests.

PRESCHOOL

Volunteers in our Preschool ministry (birth – K) get the opportunity to shepherd and care for our littlest ones during weekend worship services through singing, and teaching the truth of God’s Word. They check in kids, lead classrooms, provide assistance to classroom teachers and care for babies and toddlers.

ELEMENTARY

Volunteers minister to our 1st - 5th graders during weekend worship services through singing with the children, telling stories and teaching the truth of God's Word. They check in kids, lead classrooms, provide assistance to classroom teachers and sing or play in the worship band.

FACILITIES

Volunteers on our Facilities team serve behind the scenes. They take care of the church building and grounds and keep things looking and working great. They clean the church building, maintain the church grounds, prep for services and events, and help with landscaping, painting and taking out the trash.

FINANCE

Volunteers on our Finance team serve the church behind the scenes in the area of giving and financial stewardship. They collect the offering after weekend worship services or they assist with counting the offering.

SMALL GROUP HOSTS

Volunteers in small groups open their home to cultivate gospel-centered community. They provide a safe, clean and welcoming environment for 12-15 individuals, work with small group leaders, and encourage members to faithfulness, communicate regularly with their group and leader and attend small group training events.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT MINISTRY

Volunteers in our High School ministry get the opportunity to build and foster relationships with students, ministering them through the teaching of Scripture, worship and intentional discipleship. They check in students, greet students, set up events, lead small groups and sing or play on the worship team.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Volunteers in our Middle School ministry get the opportunity to create relationships with students and minister to them through the teaching of Scripture, worship and intentional discipleship. They check in students, set up events, greet students, lead small groups and sing or play in the worship band.

PRODUCTION

Volunteers on the Production team keep things running smoothly during our weekend services and at events so that our attendees have a great experience meeting with the Lord and the church. They run the lighting and sound booth during services, put up slides for services and set up for services and events.

STORIES

Volunteers on our Stories team help us testify to who God is and what He has done and is doing in Christ. These volunteers serve the body by creating and sharing stories that speak the truth about the way things are and proclaim the gospel through photography, videography, writing, editing and other areas.

WORSHIP

Volunteers on our Worship team use their gifts and abilities to minister to the church body through the expression of worship to the Lord through music. They lead worship at weekend services and other ministries and events throughout the week and sing or play an instrument in the worship band.

SPANISH TRANSLATION

The Spanish Translation Ministry provides simultaneous translation to Spanish-speaking individuals (via headsets) during worship services and special events.
